The Cantonal School im Lee was built between 1926 and 1928 by the brothers Pfister in the monumental style of that era and is now protected as a historical monument. In its immediate vicinity, the Rychenberg Cantonal School was erected between 1960 and 1963 by Eric Lanter, fully committed to Corbusian modernism. This building also enjoys monument status today. When space became insufficient, architects Stutz and Bolt erected a supplementary building in 1990 to the west of the site with additional classrooms and a cafeteria.
