New Construction Werkhofareal IBAarau

IBAarau built a new workshop building on the former site of Lonstroff company for its various locations. This new building combines offices, workshop, depot and storage on 7 floors. The new building was constructed in solid construction and equipped with a fair-faced concrete element facade.

Parquet flooring was installed in all offices. Solid oak parquet, natural standard, wide plank 10/10mm with tongue and groove was used. The parquet was pre-oiled by the manufacturer and after installation post-treated with Rubio Monocoat oil to prevent dirt and moisture penetration.
The radiators mounted in front of each window required high manual skill from the floor layers during installation; the radiator feet had to be laboriously cut out individually by hand. Project management was also put to the test. A very demanding schedule required the simultaneous deployment of several teams, as 2,850m2 had to be fully laid every 10 days. This required a sophisticated logistics concept on site to ensure delivery could take place smoothly in coordination with other trades.
