The new building of the Flamingo Children's Hospice in Fällanden, Zurich, provides children and adolescents with life-limiting illnesses and their families with a much-needed refuge. It aims to enable holistic care with high quality of life and close the care gap in pediatric palliative care. The hospice is located in a natural setting near Lake Greifensee and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025. It will be able to temporarily accommodate eight children and adolescents and their families.
