The AXA Investment Foundation is realizing a sustainable replacement new building for an office building at Tödistrasse 7 in Zurich. The seven-story building will be equipped with a ventilated facade cladding made of natural stone and metal. The load-bearing structure integrates regional beech wood columns that contribute to stability. The concrete ribbed ceilings rest on these wooden columns and exposed concrete walls, which represents an innovative combination of materials. Particular attention is paid to the reuse of the original natural stone facade, which is integrated into the wet rooms of the new building.
